CloutBucks presents itself as a way to “turn your social media into $$$” and earn hundreds of dollars per week easily and effortlessly by referring your friends and followers to the platform as well as completing some other very simple tasks.
If only it were that simple…
Truth is that CloutBucks is part of a huge scam network which has been plaguing the internet for many months now.
Every single one of its claims is in favor of tricking clueless and desperate people into joining and using it enough for its owners to make money and then kicking them out…
It doesn’t really intend to help you earn money in any way.
Anyway, in this review, I will go over exactly what CloutBucks really is, how it works (or to be more accurate, doesn’t work), and why it might be of your best interest to steer clear of it… This way, you’ll be able to make an informed decision about whether you should invest your time and energy in this platform or not.
Spoiler alert: You shouldn’t!
And you are about to find out why…

What is CloutBucks About?
CloutBucks is marketed throughout the web as a 100% legit platform which will help you earn money through your social media by getting your friends and followers to join the platform through your unique CloutBucks referral link as well as for completing a variety of other very simple tasks which require no previous experience
More specifically, CloutBucks claims that you’ll earn
- $25 just for signing up
- $2 for each person who clicks on your CloutBucks referral link
- an additional $10 for each person who joins CloutBucks after clicking on your referral link
- $30 for filling in surveys and entering contests
- $10 for installing applications on your mobile phone
- $50 for creating YouTube videos promoting CloutBucks
Okay, everything sounds pretty straightforward up until this point right?
Almost too good to be true someone could say…
Well, you couldn’t be more right!
CloutBucks is actually a big fat scam which never intends to let you get your hands on the money you’ve earned fair and square through it in the first place…
This solves the puzzling question “Why the heck would CloutBucks pay me so much money for doing nothing?”
Well, they really won’t!
Let me explain further…
How Does CloutBucks Work?
First of all, CloutBucks lures you in with the promise of a $25 sign up bonus…
Many people join CloutBucks thinking that they can get their hands on that $25 bonus right after creating their account.
This is exactly how I ended up joining Viral Pay, a scam identical to CloutBucks, for the first time a few months ago.
However, in order to qualify to cash out any of your CloutBucks earnings, you need to
- refer at least 5 people to the platform
- complete at least 5 tasks on the $30 TaskWall
- have at least 20 clicks on your unique referral link
Some people will quit CloutBucks once they realize that they have to actually work a little bit more to get the $25 signup bonus they were promised. What’s pretty funny is that those are actually the lucky ones.
However, there are others who will say “What the hell, the tasks I have to complete to qualify for payment are not so hard. Plus, I can earn even more money by completing them. Let’s give it a try!” … Those are the ones who end up being scammed.
They start devoting time and energy into referring people to the platform and completing tasks, thinking that the next time they hit that “Request Payment” button, they’ll get hundreds of dollars deposited in their bank account.
However, what they don’t know is that CloutBucks will ban their account the moment they request a payment using as an excuse that they faked their clicks and referrals.
This way, the only winner out of this pathetic charade is CloutBucks.
- First, it lures you in with a $25 signup bonus
- Then it tells you that in order to get your signup bonus you need to meet certain criteria (get 20 clicks on your referral link, 5 referrals, complete 5 tasks)
- It also tells you that for every click, referral, and task completed you’ll earn even more money
- So, you start trying to meet those criteria in order to qualify for a payment as well as increase your earnings
- When you finally meet every single one of those criteria and you request for the money you’ve earned fair and square, they kick you out leaving you high and dry
This way, CloutBucks got you to complete several tasks which bring money to its owners as well as drive more people to the platform which will, in turn, complete even more tasks which will, in turn, bring even more money to CloutBucks’ owners and all that, without having to pay anyone a single dime for their work.
Pretty appalling right?
Well, this is it… This is how CloutBucks works or to be more accurate, doesn’t work.
Get this very well in your head, CloutBucks will NEVER pay you a single dime! You will NEVER earn any money with it! Trying to make it work is just a waste of time and energy.
Who is CloutBucks for?
CloutBucks is for no one… The platform is inherently 100% useless.
The chances of earning money online by lying on your couch staring at the ceiling all day long are so much more than the chances of earning money with CloutBucks.
In fact, I am so confident that you won’t be able to earn even a single penny with CloutBucks that if you do, you can contact me with proof and I will deposit $100 more right in your account just for being wrong…
Who is CloutBucks NOT for?
CloutBucks is definitely NOT for people who want to earn money online.
If you
- want to build a full-time income online to quit your job
- are in need of some extra money to provide for your family
- are working a part-time job and need a supplementary income to cover your expenses
- want to gain the freedom to work whenever you want and from wherever you want in order to be able to travel around the world
- have tried other MMO and GPT platforms and systems but failed to meet your financial goals and you are still looking for the real deal
- aren’t working at all and you are looking for a way to build a source of income online
then I suggest ditching this CloutBucks review and instead, check out Wealthy Affiliate or Project 24 because CloutBucks is never going to help you fulfill your financial goals.

CloutBucks Success Stories & Testimonials
You can find a few screenshots of payments made to CloutBucks members as well as some positive testimonials about the platform on blog.cloutbucks.com/testimonials
Just a heads up, every single one of them is fake…
Let me explain starting with the payment proofs…
CloutBucks Fake Payment Proofs
As you can see in the images below, the exact payment screenshots that have been used for CloutBucks have also been used as payment proofs for other similar scammy platforms such as CloutShare, ReferralPay, and Viral Points.
Furthermore, as you can see in the image below, the domain name cloutbucks.com was registered on the 23rd of May 2019.
This means that the platform didn’t even exist before 23/05/2019 and yet if you take a closer look, somehow all of the payment proofs above seem to have taken place before that date.
This could mean two things…
Either CloutBucks was paying people before it even existed or all its payment proofs are fake.
I’d go for the latter…
CloutBucks Fake Positive Testimonials
In an attempt to further increase its trustworthiness, CloutBucks has also included several positive testimonials on its website.
Those testimonials have “fake” written all over them…
- They are all very generic and overly positive
- No last names of the reviewers
- No picture of the reviewer (99.9% of the reviews or testimonials that don’t include a picture of the reviewer are fake)
- Furthermore, all authentic reviews include a link to some kind of profile, website, or social media account through which you can reach the reviewer; those are not!
- Lastly, the reviewer Mika K. is supposed to be a member since 2016 and Mike S. a member since 2017… However, as we’ve seen earlier, the platform didn’t exist before May 2019.
It’s extremely obvious that the one behind those testimonials is CloutBucks.
How Much Does CloutBucks Cost?
CloutBucks is free to join.
However, it’s not 100% free to use.
You see, in order to complete some of the tasks on its $30 TaskWall, you’ll be asked to submit your mobile phone number and subscribe to various very pricey text message services which will keep forwarding you dozens of promotional text messages per month at your own cost. And those text messages aren’t cheap at all. Just one text message could cost up to $5 and sometimes even more.
Despite the fact that there are probably ways to unsubscribe from such services, I would never trust a scammy platform such as CloutBucks with my mobile phone number.
Furthermore, other tasks might ask you to fill in your credit card or bank account information.
If you don’t want to end up having money sucked out of your accounts by people you don’t know, don’t even think about it.
Plus, if you consider that CloutBucks will ban your account the moment you request a cashout, there’s really no point whatsoever in trying to complete those tasks in the first place.
CloutBucks Pros
- Free to join
1 • Free to Join
Thankfully, CloudBucks is free to join.
This way, at least you won’t waste any money until you end up realizing for yourself how much the platform sucks.
Be careful though not to submit your phone number or any other personal information anywhere within CloutBucks or you might end up suffering loss after all…
More CloutBucks Cons
- Has just one pro
- Unrealistic claims
- Additional charges to complete tasks
- Fake contact information
- Fake payment proofs and testimonials
- Unable to cashout
- Potential hacking danger
1 • Has Just One Pro
I have been trying to come up with a second CloutBucks pro for the last hour.
No luck until now.
This just bums me out…
2 • Unrealistic Claims
Just like the majority of completely useless MMO platforms do, CloutBucks uses a lot of unrealistic earning claims in order to convince people to join it.
The first thing that you’ll see when you land on CloutBucks’ website is a huge banner saying “Make Hundreds Online with Social Media – Earn $500 Today”…
First of all, if earning hundreds of dollars with social media were that easy, everyone in the world would be rich now…
Also, earning $500 online in one day could be possible only for established digital marketers with a ton of experience. It’s impossible for a beginner with no targeted audience to make that kind of money online in just a day, or even a month to be truthful.
Nonetheless, since CloutBucks will never actually pay you a single dime, the level of your experience with digital marketing doesn’t really matter.
No person can ever make money with CloutBucks, neither beginners nor advanced digital marketers.
Furthermore, CloutBucks claims to have paid $39.5 million to 185k of its members throughout 10 years that it’s been in business.
First of all, at the time of this review (15/9/2019), CloutBucks is not even 4 months old yet…
Secondly, CloutBucks hasn’t paid, isn’t paying and won’t pay anyone… And even if had paid $39.5 million to 185k people, if you do the math, this equals to $213 per person. That’s not that much money.
And it definitely doesn’t have 63k followers… Their Instagram account has 1800 followers, their Twitter account has 1400, and they don’t have an account with Facebook or any other social media.
But apparently, nowadays, 1800 + 1400 DOES equal to 63k…
3 • Additional Charges
As I’ve mentioned earlier, in order to qualify for a cashout of your CloutBucks earnings you need to complete at least 5 tasks on its $30 TaskWall.
In order to complete some of those tasks, you’ll be required to submit your phone number and agree to subscribe to paid text-message services which will probably rip you off…
Other tasks might ask you to fill in your credit card or bank account info and then start charging you for random products and digital services you never actually bought.
This way you could end up losing a ton of money while attempting to complete tasks in order to qualify for your first CloutBucks cashout which is never going to actually take place because CloutBucks will ban your account once you request it.
Stay away, people!
4 • Fake Contact Information
CloutBucks provides two Skype addresses (@cb.jessica & @cloutbucks) to contact in case you need answers or support.
However, both of those Skype addresses are actually fake so don’t expect that you’ll get neither.
You could also try and contact CloutBucks’ support team through their Instagram or Twitter accounts but they never really reply to anyone…
Lastly, CloutBucks also provides a physical address of their premises in case you want to drop by and say hi to its amazing team- 330 Collins Street, Melbourne, Australia 3000.
Nope, this address is not fake… It’s actually the address of a 20-level office tower.
Although I can’t prove it, I can’t shake off the feeling that you won’t actually find CloutBucks nowhere within this tower…
5 • Fake Payment Proofs and Testimonials
I really hate it when crappy platforms such as CloutBucks try to trick people into joining and using them by employing fake success stories, fake testimonials, and fake payment screenshots.
First of all, the fake payment screenshots that CloutBucks uses, prove that it indeed doesn’t pay its members… If it did, they wouldn’t publish fake payment proofs and risk their credibility and trustworthiness. They would just publish some real ones!
Secondly, the fact that CloutBucks’ creators have published fake positive testimonials shows that they know their platform sucks so bad that it would never get authentic positive testimonials from people who have actually tried it.
Lastly, those fake payment proofs and fake positive testimonials result in a ton of people wasting their time and energy into CloutBucks who otherwise wouldn’t if those payment proofs didn’t exist.
According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), using fake positive testimonials/success stories is considered a violation as it encourages customers to invest in a product or service they otherwise wouldn’t, thereby defrauding the customer, which is actually illegal and subject to huge penalties.
6 • Unable to Cashout
The biggest con of CloutBucks is that it will never let you get your hands on the money you’ve earned with it.
Even if it didn’t have any other cons and like a thousand more pros, this con alone beats the whole purpose of joining and using the platform in the first place.
Trying to make money with CloutBucks would be like trying to hammer a nail to the wall with a sponge – it’s just pointless…
7 • Potential Hacking Danger
So, the other day, I tried to complete one of CloutBucks’ TaskWall tasks which didn’t require me to submit any personal info, mobile phone, or credit card number.
It was actually a survey.
However, before I even got to access it, my antivirus went off giving me the alert below…
Apparently, CloutBucks’ tasks lead to 3rd party websites which contain viruses which could enable hackers to get their hands on personal data and sensitive information of yours such as the login credentials to your social media, email, credit cards, or even your bank accounts.
If you don’t have an internet security or antivirus program installed make sure to stay clear of CloutBucks at all costs…
If you’ve already accessed the platform without having any protection in place, you must immediately purchase an antivirus and scan your entire system in order to ensure that your computer hasn’t caught a virus and that your personal data and sensitive information are safe.
So, What Now?
Okay, so you read this CloutBucks review in its entirety…
Now what?
Well, as I see it, right now you have 4 options…
- You either waste your time and effort trying to make money online with CloutBucks (awful choice)
- You check out my top suggestions Project 24 or Wealthy Affiliate, which are proven to have helped hundreds of people earn their living online (optimal choice)
- You take a look at the dozens of others reviews I’ve put together hoping you’ll find something which suits you better there
- Or you walk out of here completely empty-handed, you never take the first step towards earning your living online and you move on living your current life for the years to come, always wondering what would have happened if you had taken action right this very moment
If I were where you are (which I’ve been), I would join Wealthy Affiliate (which is what I actually did).
Here’s why…
- Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best MMO platforms that currently exist
- I’ve actually been a premium Wealthy Affiliate member for almost 3 years now and I couldn’t be more satisfied with it
- Wealthy Affiliate has the most success stories I’ve ever seen in an MMO course. Dozens more are being published daily within its forum-like community
- It is completely FREE to join (no credit card required and no catches whatsoever)
Make sure to go ahead and find out more about Wealthy Affiliate by taking a look at my Wealthy Affiliate Review.
So, what are you going to do?

Wow! It really is a shame to see a money-making program that sounds so promising to be a total scam. Thank you for this CloutBucks review. It saved me from taking a chance on this opportunity. Though I know it wouldn’t generate the amount of money they were claiming, a little here a little there can add up over time.
But with everything you exposed here in this post, I will not try this obvious scam. You cannot even cash out? What happens when you try doing so? And in the beginning of your review you say that once the owners make enough money they kick members out. They just cancel your membership? I am not joining, just curious.
Yes, once you request a cashout they tell you that your payment is going to take place in 2 weeks.
2-3 weeks later you receive a message within the CloutBucks platform saying that they had to ban your account and cancel your payment because your clicks and referrals were fake.
Everyone receives this exact same message, no exceptions.
The owners of CloutBucks and all its other identical scams just want you to complete some tasks as well as refer other people to the platform who will complete tasks themselves. This is how the platform makes money.
And then they ban everyone to avoid paying them.
Harry!
I’d really like to thank you for sorting through these fakes on the internet. It looks like the only person making money is the owner of this scam.
With all these scams it’s like swimming in an ocean of sharks. I know there are legit ways to make money but they are so hard ti locate.
Have you found any sites that offer really good information out there?
Looking forward to more of your reviews.
I really like your simile, Jim!
Maybe you should check out my suggestions, Wealthy Affiliate and Project 24. They have been working pretty well for me for a while now.
Harry
Hi Harry
I am always on the lookout for new opportunities and rely on people such as yourself to tell us if it is a good opportunity or not.
Clearly CloutBucks is an opportunist platform trying to get you to promote it for free, whilst offering nothing in return. They rely on you to do all the donkey work, whilst they all get the credit. If the owner is unknown, then this is a massive red flag to me, as if you are proud about your business, you will have no reason to hide your face or your name.
I just added another company to avoid in my growing blackballed list.
Thank you
Antonio
You are absolutely right Antonio! CloutBucks is only there for its owners to make money of off unsuspecting people.
I am happy that I am of good service!
Harry
Hi.
Thanks for your review on CloutBucks.
As it seems, it’s 100% a scam.
I totally appreciate that you made some counter-suggestions too in order for us to follow the right path of online earnings.
Your post will help many people understand that they need to avoid CloutBucks at all costs.
I am going to give it a share to let all my friends know.
I am glad that you found this helpful 🙂
My best regards,
Harry
Unrealistic claims, fake testimonials and payment proofs, and unknown owner.
I don’t need to hear anything more to figure out that this is a scam.
I’m glad I read your review before joining because I would have just wasted my time.
Thanks for your counter-suggestions. I am going to check them out at once!
I am glad that I helped you dodge that bullet…
Let me know if you have any questions regarding my counter-suggestions! I’d be thrilled to help you out.
Harry
Rather interesting to see how CloutBucks is another scam oriented platform with promises of riches and wealth which they would never allow us to withdraw. I personally hate the fact that they make use of fake testimonials as well. It proves that they cannot be trusted.
Also, I would never risk getting my private information’s hacked. I’d rather not get myself engaged with a shady platform like this.
I believe that this is solid choice 😉
Harry!
Surely there’s something fishy here.
It’s funny but why do these people not show their identity?
They probably know that if they’re caught, they would have to spend a lot of time giving explanations so instead, they remain hidden.
I don’t believe in programs where all you have to do to earn money is share links, they’re not profitable. Many of my friends have tried some with no luck.
And CloutBucks is one of them.
Well, of course, they won’t show their identity when the platform they have created is such a big scam… 😛
It depends on the program…
For instance, I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate and Project 24 both of which teach people how to earn money with affiliate marketing which has mostly to do with sharing links online.
And I am earning money this way! You just have to find the right platform to teach you how to do it effectively.
