There’s no shortage of MLM companies that distribute “revolutionary” and “life-changing” health and wellness supplements that’s for sure…
Sooner or later everybody will stumble upon one…
In your case, a few days ago, someone attempted to recruit you into Yoli.
They told you all about how the company’s amazing products could benefit someone’s health in 5 dozens ways such as promoting weight loss, immune support, boosting energy, etc.
After that, they mentioned how they earn thousands of dollars per month while helping people to change their health and lives for the better by selling to them Yoli’s products…
“If you want to change people’s lives while making a crapload of money, you should join Yoli!” they said…
However, you’re neither stupid nor gullible…
You have heard your fair share of MLM horror stories…
People who lost money and drifted apart from friends and family after joining pyramid schemes posing as legit MLM companies that turned them into disgusting salespeople pitching crappy products/services even to their neighbor’s dog.
And you definitely don’t want to end up like that.
So, you decided to do your research…
Well, this is your lucky day!
In this review, I am going to uncover every single aspect of Yoli, such as
- What is Yoli about?
- Is Yoli a scam? A pyramid scheme maybe? Or a legit MLM company?
- How to join Yoli as a Member?
- How much does it cost to join Yoli?
- Pros and cons of joining Yoli
- Yoli’s compensation plan
- Can you really make money with Yoli, and if yes, how much?
- and much more
In addition, I am going to reveal to you a couple of alternative money-making opportunities.
This way, you’ll have every piece of information you might possibly need to make an informed decision about whether Yoli is worth your time and attention or if you’d better invest in a more legit and promising program.
Let’s get cracking!

What is Yoli About?
Yoli is an MLM company that operates in the health, wellness, and nutritional supplements industry.
The company was launched in 2009 by Robby Fender, Corey Citron, Daren Falter, and Bobby Jones.
Yoli means “to live” in Aztec.
The spark behind Yoli is Robby’s wife…
During 2008, Robby was talking with her about what the perfect company would look like…
He had this big list of things that would make a company perfect and his wife told him that he should consider leveraging this list in order to launch his own company.
Robby realized that in order to make his company work, he needed to pick partners that he already knew and that they had to be individuals that have already accomplished some level of success in their life.
Robby Fender contacted four of his most trusted colleagues, Corey Citron, Daren Falter, Bobby Jones, and Michael Prichard, and pitched his idea for his new business venture.
Each of them said yes and this is how Yoli came about.
Up to this point, Robby had worked as an independent distributor for several other MLM companies such as USANA Health Sciences and XanGo.
He is also the founder of 2 other companies, Preferred Financial Services, and Guardian National Management.
Prior to founding Yoli, Daren Falter used to also own a company he founded called DC Falter Marketing which was basically a business consulting firm providing
- Direct Sales/Network Marketing Start-up Consulting
- Compensation Plan Development
- Social Media Marketing
- Search Engine Optimization
- Facebook Advertising
- Copy Writing.
- etc
Daren shut down this company in 2009 in order to launch Yoli.
Corey Citron seems to have also founded a couple of companies throughout his life such as The Concorde Group, and the New School Network Marketing
Bobby Jones has been a Security Consultant for 5 Star Event Services since 2000. He doesn’t seem to have any experience in the MLM field prior to founding Yoli.
Truthfully, all of Yoli’s founders seem quite legit.
Yoli’s mission is to transform lives physically, emotionally, and financially.
This mission is fulfilled through
- a line of nutritional products that supposedly help people lose weight and improve their overall physical health (Physically)
- a comprehensive support system to support you and motivate you (Emotionally)
- and a profitable compensation plan that can help people build a part-time or full-time income (Financially)
You can find a lot more about Yoli and its founders, products, policies, opportunity, mission, etc on the company’s official website.

- $9.95 per month Activation Fee for back-office access
- $5 – $4000 worth of products & kits (optional)
Furthermore, be aware that in order to keep yourself active, you’ll need to generate 50 – 200 PV per month depending on your rank.
PV is generated in two ways:
- Personal purchases
- Retail sales
If you don’t manage to generate the required PV quota during any given month, you’ll have to personally purchase products yourself until you reach or else you
- Will be considered inactive and unqualified for commissions
- Might be demoted

Is Yoli a Pyramid Scheme?
Most of the time it’s very hard to distinguish between a legit MLM company and a pyramid scheme.
Make sure to watch the video below to discover how to spot and avoid pyramid schemes in general.
The main difference between a legit MLM and a pyramid scheme is that your income potential with a legit MLM is mostly based on selling the company’s actual products or services to retail customers while your income potential with a pyramid scheme is mostly or solely based on recruiting other people into the scheme.
Not all MLMs are legitimate. If the money you make through an MLM is based on your sales to the public, it may be a legitimate one. If the money you make is based on the number of people you recruit and your sales to them, it’s not legit. It’s a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal, and the vast majority of their participants lose money. – Federal Trade Commission
Yoli’s compensation plan maintains a healthy balance between retail sales and recruitment.
The only instance that kinda worries me is that in order to qualify for the Refer 3, Get It Free Program you’ll need to set up a personal AutoShip order of 50+ PV worth of products yourself.
In addition, in order to complete your sign up process, you’ll also have to set up a personal AutoShip order of at least 100 PV worth of products.
The PV generated through your AutoShip will be shared among your Sponsor as well as other members in your upline.
This is something you would encounter in a pyramid scheme.
However, the Refer 3, Get It Free Program will have a minimal impact on your income potential as a Yoli Member so you might as well not even bother qualifying for it.
Also, I believe that the AutoShip order that you have to set up during your sign up can be canceled once you access your personal back office.
That being said, Yoli doesn’t seem like a pyramid scheme but it would be of your own benefit to keep your eyes open.
Before signing up as a Yoli Member, it would be a good idea to ask your upline how they’re generating the majority of their income.
If it’s through the PV generated by the AutoShip orders of the Members in their downline, then you might be looking at a potential pyramid scheme.
Yoli Pros
- Established Company
- Money-Back Guarantee
- BBB A+ Rating
- Minimal Complaints
1 • Established Company
Yoli has been in business for 11 years now which is exceptional considering that most MLM companies burn to the ground before they even hit the 5-year mark…
The downside of Yoli being so established is that you might have great difficulty finding potential customers and/or recruits due to the sheer amount of already existing Yoli Members that will probably already exist out there.
2 • Money-Back Guarantee
Quoting Yoli:
Yoli offers a 100% 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee to Customers (including Preferred Customers) on opened and unopened products that are returned to the company within 30 days from the date of delivery to the Customer. If the order is received between 31 and 90 days from the date of delivery, the Customer is eligible to receive a 90% refund (10% restocking fee applied). Returned items received back to the corporate office after 90 days from Customer delivery date are not refunded. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Yoli offers a 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee to Distributors on unopened, resalable products that are returned to the company within 30 days from the date of shipment. If the order is received between 31 and 90 days from the date of delivery, the Customer is eligible to receive a 90% refund (10% restocking fee applied). Returned items received back to the corporate office after 90 days from Customer delivery date are not refunded. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.
Research shows that money-back guarantees and refunds increase customers’ feelings of satisfaction with their purchases.
In addition, people are much more likely to buy products that have a money-back guarantee as well as purchase from the same seller that offered it in the future.
The money-back guarantee Yoli offers could have a pretty positive impact on your sales and recruits.
3 • BBB A+ Rating
BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a non-profit organization that ranks businesses, charities and non-profit organizations based on their legitimacy, the information they have gathered about the business and complaints received from customers.
The higher a company’s rating, the more credible and trustworthy the company is in the eyes of BBB.
Yoli has been rated with A+ by BBB which is actually the highest possible BBB rating.
While BBB is an independent organization and not an official business evaluator, companies that receive a good BBB rating are probably more credible and trustworthy.
4 • Minimal Complaints
Something that I almost always encounter when reviewing an MLM that has been operating for more than a couple of years, is a buttload of complaints from dissatisfied customers about the company’s products, business opportunity, customer service, etc.
While Yoli does have a few complaints under it’s BBB profile, most of them seem to be isolated incidents regarding rather insignificant issues such as delayed refunds and other minor billing issues.
On Amazon, consumers seem to be rating Yoli’s products with 3 – 5 stars.
This is pretty encouraging, to say the least…
Yoli Cons
- It's Still an MLM
- Complicated Compensation Plan
- Expensive Enrollment
- No Income Disclosure Statement
- No Replicated Business Website
1 • It's Still an MLM
Despite all its pros, Yoli is still an MLM.
And I am not at all fond of the MLM business model in general for many reasons…
First of all, the percentage of MLM participants who never actually make a profit is awfully high (74% – 99%).
In addition, the majority of those who do manage to make a profit, earn no more than $5000 per year.
Secondly, I hate selling and recruiting…
And thirdly, I’ve heard so many stories of people losing friends, family, and money due to the pushy and sleazy practices they were being taught by their “mentors” that I have become repulsed by the MLM business model in general.
Being involved in an MLM company is just not worth the trouble in my mind.
Especially when there exist other much more legit ways of building a substantial income without having to turn into a sleazy salesperson jeopardizing your relationships with those around you because you can’t stop perceiving them as walking bags of cash.
And truthfully, there’s not a single indication that Yoli is any different from your average MLM in any way…
2 • Complicated Compensation Plan
Silver Bonuses, rebates, Yoli Cash, binary and uni-level structures, various percentages, a million different ranks, pools, shares, business centers, yadda yadda yadda.
Seriously, Yoli’s compensation plan is a mess.
A person who is newly introduced to the MLM business model doesn’t stand a chance of really grasping how to leverage it to actually make money.
This is no random occurrence though…
MLM companies make their compensation plans so complicated on purpose to “confuse” people into joining them.
It’s called “Complexity Bias” and it’s the tendency of people to trust complex concepts more than simple ones.
Marketers use complexity bias all the time to boost the sales of a product/service by incorporating confusing language or insignificant details into its packaging or sales copy.
MLM companies do the exact same thing with their compensation plans to get more people to join them.
And no, I am not making things up…
You can read all about complexity bias right here.
3 • Expensive Enrollment
Enrolling as a Yoli Member is quite expensive…
First, there is a mandatory one-time 39.99 membership fee.
Secondly, there’s a mandatory $9.95 monthly fee in order to get your hands on your personal back office. Frankly, this fee shouldn’t exist – 99.99% of all MLM companies provide access to a business back office for free.
On top of that, during your sign up, it’s compulsory for you to set up an AutoShip order of at least 100 PV (~$150) worth of products. I am not sure but I believe that you can cancel this AutoShip order through your back office.
In addition, again during your signup, you’ll be prompted to purchase a Yoli’s Transformation Kit as well as several additional products.
Yes, purchasing Yoli’s Transformation Kit or products during your signup might be optional but let’s not kid ourselves here… You are not going to start earning money out of thin air… You are going to need to have products to make demonstrations and give away as samples to potential customers and recruits.
If you are serious about earning money with Yoli, you’ll just HAVE to purchase at least one Transformation Kit as well as a couple of additional products.
This equals to an additional $400 at least…
Also, consider that when the products you initially purchased run out you’ll have to purchase more them for demonstration and sampling purposes something that automatically translates to even more expenses.
In addition, if you want to further increase your chances of actually making any serious money with Yoli, you’ll have to consider using the products yourself as well.
The best way to sell a product is by showing the results you achieved by using it yourself.
More expenses right here…
As you can see for yourself, the expenses of actually running your Yoli business could rise up to thousands of dollars per year.
I don’t know about you but for me, that’s way too much money to invest in an MLM.
4 • Low Income Potential
The fact that Yoli has been operating for 11 years and hasn’t released a single Income Disclosure Statement is kinda unacceptable.
It’s fairly obvious that Yoli tries to keep the extremely low income that its Members make under the radar in order for potential Members to not get discouraged from joining the company.
On the other hand, all Income Disclosure Statements I’ve come across until now reveal the exact same thing – that the vast majority of MLM reps never actually make any profit and those who do make a profit, would have to throw an additional couple of bucks on top of it to buy a pizza.
I know, you know, and the trees in my backyard know that if Yoli published an IDS tomorrow it would tell the exact same story…
5 • No Replicated Business Website
Most MLM companies provide their distributors with a replicated business website which they can utilize to enroll retail customers as well as recruit other distributors online.
Unfortunately, there’s not a single indication that Yoli provides such a website to its Members.
According to my research, as a Yoli Member, your sales and recruiting efforts will have to take place in the 2 following ways:
- Face to face
- Share your Member ID with a potential customer or recruit, send them to Yoli’s official website, and tell them to submit your Member ID during their enrollment in order for you to get credited with the sale/recruit
It’s undeniable that this process is ridiculously complicated and chances are that you’ll lose quite a few sales and recruits to it.
In this era of eCommerce, this is an enormous step back and most likely one of the most prominent reasons that you’ll have great difficulty building a serious income with Yoli.
Quoting Bill Gates,
If your business is not on the internet, then your business will be out of business!

Overall Rating
Is Yoli Suggested?
At first sight, Yoli seems like a legit company.
However, when digging deeper, there are instances where it feels like a pyramid scheme.
For instance, the company seems to pressure its Members to set up an AutoShip… AutoShip orders generate volume which is then used to pay out bonuses throughout upline Members.
In addition, I consider joining Yoli quite expensive…
Its membership fee might be only 39.99 but the subsequent expenses for running your business could rise up to hundreds of dollars per month.
Personally, I’d rather invest my money in a better, more promising business opportunity instead of wasting it in an MLM.
If you have money to spare and you are willing to take the risk of losing it all along with your time, then, well, go for it!
However, before you do so, consider the fact that the company operates since 2009 and hasn’t published a single Income Disclosure Statement.
To me, this is a pretty obvious sign that Yoli tries to keep the very low income its Members earn hidden in order to not discourage potential Members from joining.
Would you really want to invest your time and money in such a “business opportunity”?
If so, then well, you have my blessing!
