DON'T bother joining an MLM...

…until you’ve taken a good look at these shocking MLM statistics.

What is Rain International About?

Rain International is an MLM company that manufactures and distributes seed-based nutritional, wellness, and skincare products and supplements.

The company was launched in 2011 by Byron Belka.

According to Rain International’s website, Byron was working as a Distributor for another MLM company (probably Nu Skin or eXfuze) when he found out about a study confirming that particular seeds contain chemical compounds, condensed vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients that are pure, easily digestible, and vital for a high-performing body.

After trying some seed-based products himself for a while he noticed that they truly positively affected his body in many ways. Watching other people who injected similar products also reaping a lot of benefits was proof for him that the power and potential behind seed-based products were immense.

Since Byron had already experience in the MLM field, he decided to create an MLM company to share seed-based nutrition with the world.

And this is how Rain International was created.

Rain International’s focus is fourfold…

  1. Seed Science – Conduct seed-based research, testing, and studies
  2. Social Commerce – Create systems and technology that simplify making money
  3. Health – Design a perfect system that gives your body everything it needs to perform at its highest level
  4. Fitness – Improve people’s fitness in order to make the world a healthier place to live

You can find a lot more about Rain International, its story, products, focus, policies, etc on the company’s official website.

Rain International's Products & Prices

Rain International manufactures and distributes seed-based products and supplements…

Apparently, seeds contain condensed, pure, and easily digestible nutrients but since seeds aren’t really digestible by humans, Rain International extracts and cold-compresses all those nutrients found within the seeds and packs them into its products.

The categories which the company’s products fall under are:

  • Wellness
  • Weightloss
  • Skincare
  • Fitness
  • Nootropics
  • Anti-aging
  • Anti-inflammatory

According to Rain International, its products are non-GMO, vegan, and natural.

The company’s flagship product is called “SOUL” and is a ready-made drink that’s created from a variety of seeds containing antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and dozens of other “body booster” nutrients.

Some of the benefits that Soul is supposed to offer are:

  • Anti-aging
  • Muscle pain relief
  • Reduced inflammation
  • Antioxidation
  • Promotes a healthy cardiovascular system
  • etc

Soul retails at $88.75 per 30, 2-oz packs.

The rest of the products that Rain International manufactures and distributes are:

  • CORE – $93: Protects the DNA, supports healthy blood flow and boosts cognition
  • REVRI Purifying Cleanser – $40: Cleanses skin using oils and other natural ingredients
  • REVRI Serum – $70: Anti-aging serum addressing fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots
  • REVRI Moisturizer – $80: Seed-based moisturizer
  • BEND – $99: Promotes healthy joints and cartilage
  • PURE Probiotic – $59: Supports a healthy function of your digestive system. Also reduces inflammation
  • FORM – $47.50: Seed-based protein powder. 20g of protein per serving.
  • SOUL Red – $44: Soul enhanced with red raspberry seed and black cumin seed oil. Boosts cognition and promotes weight loss
  • BRYT – $45: Nootropic supplement. Boosts cognition, quicker memory recall, increased creativity, higher mental drive

You can find more info about Rain International’s products and their respective prices on the company’s official website and e-shop.

Please note that the health benefits Rain International’s products are claimed to produce aren’t in any way substantiated or scientifically proven and accepted. Also, the company’s products aren’t FDA approved.

Rain International Distributor
Compensation Plan

The majority of MLM companies have so overly complicated compensation plans that it feels like you need to have a rocket scientist doctorate to understand just their first paragraph.

Rain International’s compensation plan is no exception…

Nonetheless, I’ll try my best to get you up to speed.

Rain International compensates its Distributors (or else Rain Partners) in 9 different ways…

  1. Customer Program
  2. Three and Free Customer Program
  3. First Order Bonus (FOB)
  4. First Order Bonus Match (FOBM)
  5. FOB Compression
  6. Team Commissions
  7. Generational Matching Bonus (GMB)
  8. Rank Advancement Bonuses
  9. Lifestyle Bonus

1 • Customer Program

The Customer Program pays you 40% of the QV of the products purchased by your retail customers either face to face or online.

QV = Qualifying Volume -> Used to qualify for reaching higher ranks.

For instance, if a retail customer purchases the SOUL product that generates 50QV, you’ll earn 40% of that QV in money which equals $20.

2 • Three and Free Customer Program

The Three and Free Customer Program pays you 40% QV of the products purchased by other customers your current retail customers refer.

You will qualify for that bonus everytime one of your current retail customers meets the following qualifications:

  • Refer 3 other customers
  • Those 3 new customers purchase the same product in the same calendar month

When your retail customers meet those qualifications, they will also be awarded with free products.

3 • First Order Bonus (FOB)

When a Distributor you personally recruited purchases a Starter Pack, you earn a FOB that pays you 40% of the Starter Pack’s CV.

CV = Commissionable Volume -> The basis for determining and calculating bonuses and commissions. Rain International’s compensation plan pays out 50% of all CV.

For instance, when one of your personally enrolled Distributors purchases the New Pro Starter Pack which generates a total of 225CV, you’ll earn 90CV.

Since Rain International pays out 50% of all CV, you’ll earn $45 off of that Starter Pack purchase of your personally enrolled Distributor.

4 • First Order Bonus Match (FOBM)

When a Distributor you personally recruited enrolls another Distributor who purchases a Starter Pack, you earn a FOBM that pays you 10% of the Starter Pack’s CV.

5 • FOB Compression

If for some reason you are not active and qualified for commissions during any given month, the FOB and FOBM get paid to the next active and qualified Distributor in your upline.

6 • Team Commissions

Team Commissions are paid weekly based on the CV generated during that period through a binary compensation structure…

A binary structure places you at the top of your team with one team on your left (left leg) and one team on your right (right leg).

Binary-Compensation-Plan

Each leg can contain an unlimited amount of Distributors who are recruited either by you or by other Distributors on either leg.

The leg which generates the higher CV is considered your power leg and the leg which generates the smaller CV is considered your weak leg.

Every time your your weak leg accumulates 300CV a “cycle” is created.

Each cycle pays you out $30 and you can earn up to 334 cycles per week.

7 • Generational Matching Bonus (GMB)

Once you reach the rank of Bronze or higher, you can qualify to receive this Generational Matching Bonus (GMB).

The GMB is paid weekly as a floating percentage (no clue what a floating percentage is) of the team commissions earned in a Distributor’s downline up to 7 Generations deep.

The depth of the Generations through which you’ll earn the GMB depends on your rank, your active customers, and your weekly PV.

1st – 3rd Generation:

  • Bronze – Gold
  • 2 active Preferred Customers
  • At least 100PV weekly

4th – 7th Generation:

  • Platinum and higher
  • 4 active Preferred Customers
  • At least 200PV weekly

Preferred Customer = a customer on auto-ship

8 • Rank Advancement Bonuses

The Rank Advancement Bonuses pay you a fixed amount of money when you advance through the company’s ranks, beginning at the rank of Manager.

  • Manager = $30
  • Senior Manager = $60
  • Bronze = $90
  • Silver = $200
  • Gold = $500
  • Platinum = $700
  • Pearl = $1000
  • Sapphire = $2000
  • Diamond = $5000
  • Double Diamond = $7500
  • Black Rain Diamond = $10.000
  • Double Black Rain Diamond = $100.000
  • Triple Black Rain Diamond = $250.000

9 • Lifestyle Bonus

This Lifestyle Bonus pays you weekly based on your rank.

  • Platinum = $100
  • Pearl = $200
  • Sapphire = $300
  • Diamond = $400
  • Double Diamond = $500
  • Black Rain Diamond = $600
  • Double Black Rain Diamond = $750
  • Triple Black Rain Diamond = $1000

In order to qualify for this Lifestyle Bonus you have to meet the following requirements:

  • Be active and qualified for commissions
  • Have at least 4 active Preferred Customers

Please be aware that the total weekly earnings from Team Commissions, Lifestyle Bonus, and GMB are capped depending on your rank.

You can study Rain International’s full compensation plan right here (good luck).

Please note that Rain International’s compensation plan might undergo changes from time to time so by the time you read this review, some of the info, the commission rates, the rank qualifications, etc that I shared with you right above might not be that accurate.

If you still have questions about Rain International’s compensation plan, you can contact the company’s support team through email at support@rainintl.com or by calling them at 855-724-6606

Or you could email me at harry@dearboss-iquit.com and I will do my best to help you out.

How Much Does It Cost to Join Rain International as a Rain Partner?

In order to join Rain International as a Distributor, you’ll have to purchase one of the company’s Starter Packs.

  • Technology Fee – $49
  • Basic Pack – $143
  • Builders Pack – $260
  • New Pro Pack – $540
  • Elite Pack – $1320
  • Super Elite Pack – $2625

Purchasing the Technology Fee grants you access to a free replicated website, Business Intelligence Software, and 1 Business Center.

All the other Starter Packs contain everything the Technology Fee contains plus

  • Several products
  • QV/CV

The more expensive the Starter Pack, the more benefits and products you’ll receive.

Is Rain International a Pyramid Scheme?

Most of the time it’s very hard to distinguish between a legit MLM company and a pyramid scheme.

The video below will help you understand how to spot and avoid pyramid schemes in general.

The main difference between an MLM and a pyramid scheme is that MLMs give you the opportunity to earn commissions by selling actual products or services to retail customers while with a pyramid scheme the only way to earn money is by recruiting other people into the scheme.

Not all MLMs are legitimate. If the money you make through an MLM is based on your sales to the public, it may be a legitimate one. If the money you make is based on the number of people you recruit and your sales to them, it’s not legit. It’s a pyramid scheme. Pyramid schemes are illegal, and the vast majority of their participants lose money. – Federal Trade Commission

Rain International’s compensation plan maintains a pretty solid balance between retail sales and Distributor recruitment.

Purchasing a Starter Pack, other products, or setting up an auto-ship isn’t mandatory in order for someone to join as a Distributor and most of the team bonuses are calculated based on the retail sales of your downline.

In addition, the “Three and Free” Customer Program is very retail-oriented as it incentivizes existing customers to be awarded free products for bringing more customers themselves.

That being said, that Rain International is very unlikely to be a pyramid scheme.

Rain International Pros

  • Free Replicated Website
  • Affordable to Join
  • Unique Products
  • Offers Refunds

1 • Free Replicated Website

Once you join Rain International as a Rain Partner, the company provides you with a free replicated website.

When people purchase the company’s products through your replicated website, a percentage of the total CV of the products those people paid will land right into your pocket.

In addition, if someone signs up as a Rain Partner through your replicated website you automatically become their sponsor, and they become part of your downline.

If marketed the right way, this replicated e-shop could help you maximize your retail customers and recruits and thus your income.

If your business is not on the internet, then your business will be out of business – Bill Gates

2 • Affordable to Join

You can sign up as a Distributor for Rain International for as little as a one-time fee of $49 (Technology Fee).

This is pretty affordable compared to other MLM companies that require hundreds and maybe even thousands of dollars of initial investment to join them as an independent distributor.

To give you a frame of reference, in order to become a Distributor for an MLM called Enagic Kangen Water you need to purchase one of its products and the cheapest one costs $1980.

3 • Unique Products

Rain International’s products are pretty unique…

I have been aware for many years now that seeds are extremely nutritional in general, some of them even being considered superfoods (chia seeds, hemp seeds, etc) but I had never heard of a company that sells seed-based supplements until I came across Rain International.

Some of those supplements might be kinda pricey but I would probably try them at some point to see for myself what they have to offer.

The good news is that there are a lot of studies concluding that the consumption of seeds can indeed have a positive impact on many aspects of one’s health.

Locating and leveraging some of those studies in your pitch in conjunction with the uniqueness of the products themselves could help you increase your sales, customers, and recruits.

4 • Offers Refunds

Rain International offers a 100% 30-day money-back guarantee to Rain Partners or Customers who are not fully satisfied with their Initial Product Order.

The company also refunds 90% of all product purchases other than the Initial Product Order, less shipping, and handling.

Research shows that money-back guarantees and refunds increase customers’ feelings of satisfaction with their purchases.

In addition, people are much more likely to buy products that have money-back guarantees as well as make more purchases from the same seller that offers those money-back guarantees.

You can take a look at Rain International’s Refund Policy right here.

Rain International Cons

  • MLM Business Model
  • Complicated Compensation Plan
  • No Income Disclosure Statement
  • Products Could Contain Lead
  • Fraud & Racketeering

1 • MLM Business Model

As mentioned earlier, I am not at all fond of the MLM business model in general for many reasons…

First of all, the percentage of MLM participants who never actually make a profit is awfully high (74% – 99%).

In addition, the majority of those who do manage to make a profit, don’t earn more than $5000 per year.

Secondly, I hate selling…

And thirdly, I’ve heard so many stories of people losing all their friends, family, and money due to the pushy and sleazy practices they were being taught by their “mentors” that I have become repulsed by the MLM business model in general.

Being involved in an MLM is just not worth the trouble in my mind.

Especially when there exist other much more legit ways of earning a lot more money without having to go through all that struggle of becoming a sleazy salesperson and jeopardizing your relationships with those around you because you can’t stop perceiving them as walking bags of cash.

2 • Complicated Compensation Plan

Qualifying volumes, personal volumes, binary structures, left and right legs, cycles, various percentages and commissions, compressions, generations, dozens of different ranks and qualifications, blah, blah, blah…

A person who is newly introduced to the MLM business model doesn’t stand a chance of really grasping exactly how Rain International compensates its Distributors.

This is no random occurrence though…

MLM companies make their compensation plans so complicated on purpose to “confuse” people into joining them.

It’s called “Complexity Bias” and it’s the tendency of people to trust complex concepts more than simple ones.

Marketers use complexity bias all the time to boost the sales of a product/service by incorporating confusing language or insignificant details into its packaging or sales copy.

MLM companies do the exact same thing with their compensation plans to get more people to join them.

You can read more about complexity bias right here.

3 • No Income Disclosure Statement

The fact that Rain International has been operating for more than 8 years and it hasn’t released an Income Disclosure Statement not even once is kinda unacceptable.

It’s fairly obvious that Rain International tries to hide the extremely low income that its Distributors are earning in order to not discourage potential Distributors from joining.

4 • Products Could Contain Lead

In October 2015, the Environmental Research Center sent Rain International a Notice of Violations of Health & Safety because they found that a number of its products contained high concentrations of lead, which is a chemical known to cause developmental toxicity, male and female reproductive toxicity, and even cancer.

According to ERC, this violation has been occurring since the products were first introduced in the marketplace (2012).

2020 is less than a month away and I couldn’t locate any information or resource online that implied that Rain International has taken any corrective action regarding those issues to this very day.

Truthfully, I would never promote products that could potentially harm other people’s health.

5 • Fraud & Racketeering

According to an article published on utahvoice.net, after analyzing samples of Rain International’s SOUL product, it was found that it was nothing more than sugar water containing no nutrients and almost no seed extracts whatsoever.

Rain International Trustpilot Testimonial
Testimonial About Rain International on Trustpilot

By promoting their SOUL product as a Nutritional Supplement, when it doesn’t contain any nutritional value Byron Belka and Casey Whitaker committed the crime of Fraud. By selling the product for $75 at that time, when it was nothing more than sugar water, they received an unlawful or unfair gain.

After Rain International got exposed, Utah Voice claims that they received multiple reports of people being influenced for money or being offered money in exchange for lying or discrediting the lab test that shows Rain’s Product is a Fraud.

When companies resort to blackmail, threats, and bribery trying to cover up the fact that they are committing criminal fraud that’s called Racketeering in Corrupt Practices…

Utah Voice goes on to claim that at some point Rain International committed Grand Theft when they refused to send products that some people in Ghana had ordered (260 boxes with a retail value of $21.600).

There also claims that Rain International has been stealing commissions from their sales distribution network.

You can take a look at the article published by Utah Voice right here (*update: the article has actually been taken down for some unknown reason.)

I know that all this sounds very far-fetched and we can’t really draw any conclusions that Rain International is a scam solely based on the claims of one article.

However, the fact that Rain International is an MLM makes all those scenarios much more likely because, come on, we all know how far MLM companies can go to make a profit (I have even seen MLMs charging for training) as well as maintain a healthy image for the public.

Is Rain International Suggested?

I wouldn’t suggest joining Rain International as a Distributor for many reasons.

First of all, the company has been operating for almost 9 years now and hasn’t yet released an Income Disclosure Statement.

Chances are that the income Rain International’s Distributors make is way too small to reveal.

Also, the fact that the Environmental Research Center sent a Notice of Violations of Health & Safety to Rain International because its products contained high doses of harmful substances is definitely not a positive sign…

Adding up the fact that many people claim that the company’s products are just sugar water containing no real nutritional value whatsoever is even more concerning…

Rain International just seems to have too much of a bad reputation to be considered a solid business opportunity.

On top of everything else, Rain International seems to be trying to build way too much hype around its products.

Apparently, according to Rain, everything in its products is a superfood or super seed that promotes a healthy digestive system, healthy liver, healthy cardiovascular system, healthy cells, and even healthy eyelashes.

Hell, CORE even contains “DNA Protectors” which are supposed to help you “not disappear” due to damaged DNA.

Why do you need DNA protectors? Well… Natural selection does only favor those with the strongest DNA. Everyone else disappears. Just one reason.

Just one reason… Like you need another one.

Drink CORE people! Or you are going to disappear… FOREVER!

Oh, and it goes without saying that everything is 100% natural and scientifically proven, okay?

Quoting Rain Internationa once more:

OUR PRODUCTS ARE MADE BY NATURE AND CRAFTED BY SCIENCE. WHERE NATURE MEETS SCIENCE!

Such claims are so bad that is actually bordering on funny.

What’s even funnier is that 99% of MLM companies that distribute wellness supplements and/or beauty and skincare products use the exact same claims…

Talking about uniqueness right?

Rain International’s Distributors make even more unrealistic health claims.

I have heard and read about multiple instances of Distributors claiming that consuming SOUL and CORE could even cure cancer.

Claims like that are very common among MLM companies in the health and wellness markets, BUT they are never true…

Personally, I wouldn’t want to become part of a company that tries to mislead and trick people into using 100% useless or maybe even potentially harmful products by promising them extraordinary health benefits…

Would you really want to invest your time and money in such a “business opportunity”?

If so, then well, you have my blessing!

If not, make sure to check out a better money-making opportunity right here.

  1. Thank you for the very informative review.

I tried clicking on your link to the Utahvoice, but the article wasn’t there. Do you happen to have a copy of the article or actual title, or the URL to share, please?

    1. Hi Eliz, I’m glad that you liked it!

Unfortunately, as it seems, Utah Voice has taken down the article I was referring to for some unknown reason. I tried to locate a cached version of it but without any luck.

      Best wishes,
