One of the very first questions that the majority of people who get started with affiliate marketing tend to ask is: "How long does it take to make money from affiliate marketing?" Unfortunately, to calculate an exact amount of time would be impossible as the answer depends on so many external and personal factors such as experience charisma effort training willingness patience time spent working quality and quantity of work niche market perspective mindset support etc As I stated on my about page, one of the reasons I created this website, besides helping beginners get started with their affiliate marketing businesses was to track its progress. One of the reasons that I am doing this, is that people who are just starting their affiliate marketing journey could get a clue on how much time it might take for a website to actually start bringing in earnings. I thought that getting my first drips of organic traffic was a good opportunity to log my website's progress and let you know all about it. Let's find out more. Blog4Cash's 2-month Progress At the time that I am writing this post, blog4cash is not 2 months old. This website was actually created in August 2017 so it is 11 months old. However, after getting it online I published 4 articles in less than two weeks and didn't bother with it again until May 2018. At this very moment, the website has content equivalent to less than 2 months of actual article creation in it. So, working for two months on my website I have fully set it up I published 3 pages and 14 articles I got it indexed in google and bing I received my very first organic visits(see below) As you can see in the graph, I got 2 organic clicks, one on 27/6 and the other on 29/6. Thus, in just two months of work, people have already started visiting my website. Its progress is pretty decent if you think that my first website got its first click 7-8 months after creating it. 2 clicks are actually nothing compared to bigger and older websites which might get more than 300 clicks daily but you can't go from 0 to 300 at once. As long as you keep creating targeted, helpful, quality content the clicks will be increasing. You Can Absolutely Do Better Than Me! I know that you can do better than me! If you get started now you might start getting your first organic clicks in less than 1 month. Why? First of all, the niche(affiliate marketing for beginners) that I have chosen for my website is extremely competitive. If you choose a less competitive niche you might be able to start seeing results way faster. Secondly, I am currently working a full-time job so basically I really have limited time to work on my business. If you are unemployed or you have a lot of free time, results will definitely come way faster for you. Just because I have a website does not mean that I am an expert. I had been working on my first website for one year straight and it still did not make that many sales to bring me any substantial earnings. This happened mainly because I wasn't applying everything I was being taught. Instead, I was mostly applying what I personally believed would work which was less than 1/3 of what I was learning(big mistake). So, after struggling with my first website for over a year, I decided to ditch it and start anew. That's how I decided to create Blog4Cash. I have learned a ton from my mistakes, what to apply and what to avoid. Results are definitely coming way faster than the first time. My Scaling Plans Yesterday I published my 15th article which was a review of an affiliate marketing training platform called Affilorama. My plan is to keep creating content non-stop until I reach 30 posts. Then I will revise my old ones(add some new content, add internal links, make them longer and more valuable, etc). After that, I am going to include a sign-up form in order to start gathering emails. By that time I will have completed my affiliate marketing course for beginners in order to start offering it as a freebie to entice my readers to exchange their email address for it(giving away something for free definitely increases the number of people who subscribe to your list, or else, the conversion rate). Hopefully, all my plans would have fallen into place no later than 4 months from now. Okay, this is it for now! I am off to start taking action on my plans.
